What quantity is needed?
By mixing FurseCEM and any Portland cement in right ratio of 3:1 you are creating a conductive concrete that will perform the magic.
If the total amount of FurseCEM and cement mixture required for 1 cubic metre is 1300kg. (Re PMC conductive products brochure).
Therefore, to make 1 cubic metre of conductive concrete, you will require the following quantities:
975kg FurseCEM – 3
325kg Cement – 1
Water as required
Let us now consider a single hole of 3.6m depth and 100mm diameter.
Volume of hole
where r = radius of hole in metres
h = depth of hole in metres
Then volume =22/7 x 0.05 x 0.05 x 3.6 cu metres = 0.0283 cu metres
Amount (by weight) of FurseCEM needed would be:
0.0283 x 975kg = 27.6kg
Then number of bags = 27.6/25
= 1.104 (say 2)
Now let us consider 6 holes of 100mm diameter and 6 metres deep.
Volume of holes, V = n; where n = number of holes
Then, V =22/7 x 0.05 x 0.05 x 6 x 6 cu metres = 0.0283 cu metres
From the previous calculation, the number of bags of FurseCEM would be 12.
Finally, let’s consider a hole of 100mm diameter and 20m deep.
V = 22/7 x 0.05 x 0.05 x 20 cu metres = 0.157 cu metres
Therefore, the number of bags of FurseCEM needed could be:
= 6.1 (say 7)
Nothing reduces earth resistance and gives permanent reading like FurseCEM without maintenance.
